Visit of the Ambassador of the Czech Republic to the “14th October” Factory in Kruševac

The Ambassador of the Czech Republic to Serbia, His Excellency Mr. Jan Bondy, visited the “14th October” factory in Kruševac, which is owned by the Czechoslovak Group. The visit was an opportunity to present future plans, namely a new investment cycle worth €24 million, which includes construction works and infrastructure improvements within the factory, as well as the introduction of new equipment and technology, with the goal of significantly expanding production capacities.

After the presentation and tour of the factory complex, the Ambassador stated:
“I am very pleased to have returned to this important company after some time in order to become acquainted with the current situation and the plans for further development at ‘14th October.’ As the Ambassador of the Czech Republic, I greatly value our mutual cooperation. The capabilities of Serbian experts combined with Czech capital and investments are the best proof that Europe is one whole and can be united. The Czech Republic is a traditional partner of Serbia, ranks among the top ten investors in the country, and I can confirm that there is strong interest in further deepening our cooperation. The ‘14th October’ factory is concrete proof of the collaboration between two European countries, connected through long-standing partnership and good relations,” said Czech Ambassador to Serbia, Jan Bondy.

To remain competitive in the global market, innovation, modern production processes, digitalization, and automation are essential, as well as continuous investment in employee development, which is the key to long-term success.

“An investment of €24 million represents a strategic step forward in the further modernization of production processes and the strengthening of our factory’s technological capacities. In doing so, we reaffirm our commitment to achieving the highest industrial standards, expanding our product range, and increasing market competitiveness. This planned investment has multiple benefits—it contributes to the long-term sustainability of the ‘14th October’ factory, enables us to continuously meet the expectations of our partners and customers, while at the same time having a positive impact on the local community and economy. We will remain committed to quality, follow innovations, and ensure that employee safety remains the foundation of our operations,” emphasized Petar Miljković, General Director of the “14th October” factory, during the visit.

Between 2025 and 2027, the factory plans intensive investment and workforce growth, with turnover expected to reach €30 million in 2025 with 370 employees. For 2026 and 2027, investments totaling €112 million are planned, along with the creation of 100 new jobs.
